For over eight decades, Colon Orchards has been the place to go for locally grown produce in Cañon City. Operating since 1937, our passion for farming, our family and our community has continued to grow each year we have been in business. We are always striving to improve and grow, just as this wonderful community has over the last eight decades.
We are passionate about educating others on agriculture and everything that goes into running a farm. And we are passionate about this community. That’s why we always aim to be supportive to other local business owners, Colorado farmers and residents of Fremont County.
As a family-owned and operated farm, we are now headed by Britt Colon, the great- granddaughter of the founder of Colon Orchards. We are a family here and we want to treat you like family too.
A Passion for Family And Farming
At Colon Orchards, we hope that you can feel our passion for family, farming and high-quality, local products the minute you enter our market. Afterall, running this farm is in our blood.
We have visitors come from all over the state, and even other parts of the country. Our goal is to make every last guest feel like part of the Colon Orchards family.
We grow our own squash, pumpkins, heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, dill, herbs, and even our own hay, but our selection is not limited to this list. We also bring in a variety of the finest produce from all over Colorado, grown by the best local farmers.
We are born and bred in Canon City, Colorado and we are Colorado proud! We are all about the community - supporting each other and helping each other out. We strive to get to know the people who come to visit so we can provide an excellent experience on the farm each time!
The Colon Orchards family is friendly and always personable. We greet everyone that comes to visit, we answer all the questions we can answer, and if we don't know the answer - we will get it for you. Here at Colon Orchards, you will never be just a number or just another customer.
We want to provide more than just locally grown fresh produce, so we invite people from all over to experience a family-owned Colorado farm. In the fall, we are a popular spot for our pumpkin patch and corn maze. Both start at the end of September and remain open through the end of October.
Colon Orchards strives to support the local culture and community in any way we can. We have been a community staple for over 85 years and our goal is to continue the legacy of Colon Orchards as one of Canon City’s favorite spots for community and fresh produce.
